Tonight, while driving home from my girlfriend’s house, I decided to turn on my frequency scanner to listen in on what might be happening around Pierce County. For the most part there was silence, nothing big going on for a Wednesday night, until a call of a car accident on Day Island, less than 5 minutes away from my house. I decided to check it out considering I didn’t have much else to do.
As soon as I pulled up, I saw that the car was burning in the front, flames at least 5 feet high. But the car was not just out in the open, it was front first into a house just over the bridge. This definitely sparked my interest and I turned right around to drive home so I could grab my camera and drive back out. I ended up staying at the accident scene for quite a while and took photographs, spoke with a gentleman named Tim who lives in the house, a University Place Sheriff’s Deputy and also spoke with Rick Price of KIRO 7 TV News and his videographer.
Long story short, the driver ran from the scene and was captured a short while later. A second passenger was rushed off to the hospital for internal bleeding (as far as I heard). And a third passenger was left at the scene speaking with University Place Sheriff’s Deputies. The fire was extinguished before I was able to return to take photographs, but I ended up with a few good shots of the action.
KIRO TV Channel 7 will most likely air today, Thursday the 9th of April, a story about the crash. And as soon as I edit this, it shows up.

Today ended up being a very beautiful day. Yesterday and today reached about 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
I decided to stop by Taco Del Mar to visit a friend of mine and noticed a beautiful blue car sitting in front, a Nissan Skyline. It was in good condition, in need of a bit of TLC, but for the most part, the car was a beauty.
These are some of the photographs I took today, posted on my Flickr Photostream.

It’s been a while since I updated my blog. I haven’t been able to take photographs outside because of the rain and it is starting to get annoying.
Lately, I have been busy with work and spending time with my girlfriend. Within the past week, I have been working on my computer and replaced my old Netgear router with a Linksys WRT54G-TM Router. The reason for the switch was so that I could replace the firmware inside of the box with the newest version of DD-WRT. The new software is a breeze to setup and has a much better range of features for the router. The second modification I made to the box was to install a heatsink on the main chip and a fan on the top of the case to push more air into the box to cool down the components. This was a fun modification and has kept me from being bored with my free time. The WRT54G-TM model is better than some of the other routers because it has the available space to install the Mega version of DD-WRT. This model also runs a bit faster and won’t bog down as easy with heavy load.
I have a vacation coming up soon and I am saving up some money for the trip. Disney World HERE I COME! But really, I have only been to Disneyland and that was when I was 12 years old. My girlfriend and I booked a trip to fly to North Carolina to visit some of my family and from there we are all going to drive down to Florida to stay for a week. I will be taking my camera with me and I hope to come back with an awesome collection of photographs to post here and upload to flickr. The entire 10 day trip will be awesome, considering it has been a very long time since I have been out to N.C.
