At the moment, I am riding in the back of my aunt’s car, traveling down I-95.
The flight from Sea-Tac to Dallas was a breeze. It went by fairly fast and I was able to take some absolutely amazing photos through the window of Mt. Rainier. It was absolutely perfect and seemed to be floating in the clouds.
As soon as we landed in Dallas, we learned that our connection to Raleigh was going to be delayed. The flight arrived about an hour after it was supposed to be there, but we filled in and took off without incident. This flight had minor turbulence towrds the last half hour of the flight.
As soon as Havilah and I landed, we were greeted by my Uncle Michael and Aunt Pam. After exchanging hello’s and picking up luggage, we took off for an hour and a half drive to Fayetteville.
The next morning, my uncle, aunt, Havilah and I took a trip to Caswell Beach. When we got there, the beach was amazing. There was somewhere around twenty people on the shore. A perfectly clear summer day and warm water to swim in, made that day one of the best I’ve had out in North Carolina. And not getting sunburned was a big plus.
I have pictures from the day at the beach and also pictures from the flight to Dallas. There is about seven or so hours left of this drive down to Orlando, Florida. I will hopefully be able to edit and post pictures that I have so far, so long as I can find an open wireless network, cell phone internet is handy at times, but way too slow to upload pictures.
Now back to the regularly scheduled concrete path of nothingness!
So after an extended period of not updating my blog, I’m back to report that in about eight hours, I will be in an airplane flying to Dallas, TX and then another flight from there into Raleigh, NC.
My girlfriend and I planned a trip to fly out to North Carolina to visit some of my extended family. After talking with my aunt, she decided to plan a trip for eight of us to drive down to Orlando, FL for a five day trip to Disney World!!!
I have been to Disneyland, but not Disney World. This is the first time my girlfriend and I have taken a vacation together outside of Washington State, and our first time going to Disney World. This trip should be awesome and to top it off, looking at the weather forecast, there might be some lightning in the area!
I will be updating my blog throughout the trip and will post up some interesting pictures as soon as I can!
Stay Tuned!!!
It’s been a while since I updated my blog. I haven’t been able to take photographs outside because of the rain and it is starting to get annoying.
Lately, I have been busy with work and spending time with my girlfriend. Within the past week, I have been working on my computer and replaced my old Netgear router with a Linksys WRT54G-TM Router. The reason for the switch was so that I could replace the firmware inside of the box with the newest version of DD-WRT. The new software is a breeze to setup and has a much better range of features for the router. The second modification I made to the box was to install a heatsink on the main chip and a fan on the top of the case to push more air into the box to cool down the components. This was a fun modification and has kept me from being bored with my free time. The WRT54G-TM model is better than some of the other routers because it has the available space to install the Mega version of DD-WRT. This model also runs a bit faster and won’t bog down as easy with heavy load.
I have a vacation coming up soon and I am saving up some money for the trip. Disney World HERE I COME! But really, I have only been to Disneyland and that was when I was 12 years old. My girlfriend and I booked a trip to fly to North Carolina to visit some of my family and from there we are all going to drive down to Florida to stay for a week. I will be taking my camera with me and I hope to come back with an awesome collection of photographs to post here and upload to flickr. The entire 10 day trip will be awesome, considering it has been a very long time since I have been out to N.C.
